Yehudah Ashlag, author of ha’Sulam, a ground-breaking commentary on the Sefer ha’Zohar

The Zohar was written mostly in Aramaic and because of the unfamiliar language and also because of the esoteric terminology of the original, this important book remained inaccessible to the interested public until Yehuda Ashlag published a widely-acclaimed word-for-word Hebrew commentary, providing keys to understanding this work. Below is my translation of several excerpts from a talk given by Rabbi Ashlag that explains some basic Kabbalah principles.
